Winter Trophy

In our 13th year we introduced a Winter Stableford competition playing for the Purley Downs Cup. Paul Walker was the inaugural winner. The following year 1999, Keith Atkins won with 45 pts, the highest ever winning score. For the next 11 years a variety of other courses were our hosts with 2 events at Selsdon Park. Peter Hopkins won twice in this period.

2012 saw the society return to Purley Downs, chiefly due to the fact that it's the best winter course around. Steve Watson won 5 consecutive events from 2012 to 2016. Three players: Paul Walker, Robin Archibald and Stephen Maguire all achieved their 2nd wins since the move back to Purley Downs.

Al Nawrocki (below) is the winner of our 25th winter event.
